A son, Luigi, obsessed by death, tells book and film endings to people close to death. A father, pacifist, earns his living by decorating sanitary fixtures for bloodthirsty dictators. A mother, ironiser, looks for happiness in horror books. They would like to hate each other, but for those who have never succeeded in saying "I care about you" to each other it is difficult to do. The three live in a state of tranquillity and peace which is destroying them.
