BANDINI

Traditional cuisine. In Portacomaro. A gourmet address in the heart of the beautiful Asti countryside, just steps from the Asti Est toll booth, this restaurant welcomes you with a classic bar featuring a monumental Bricco dell'Uccellone. As the menu states, Antonello Bera "steams in the dining room" and will captivate you with his passion for wine. And Massimo Rivetti "steams in the kitchen." The atmosphere is relaxing, with the dining room indoors and the pleasant outdoor area especially welcome in the warmer months.

After choosing a fine bottle from the cellar, which holds authentic local gems and can accompany your meal, you can start (€12) with creamed cod "belecalda" and Asti brusca sauce, or delicious veal with tuna sauce. Among the first courses (€10), the gobbi agnolotti with roast gravy are truly outstanding, but the potato gnocchi with robiola and Tonda Gentile cheese are equally delicious. A second course (€14)? Traditional stewed wild boar, although the delicious surprise will be the rabbit cacciatore roll. A grand finale (€9) with a properly made bonet astigiano, cornmeal pastries, and caritin, a delicious local dessert worthy of the De.Co. designation. You'll be happy to return!
