Day 1 

Arrive in Ovada and visit the Maini Paleontological Museum. A guide will accompany children in the " Learn with fossils" workshop with a simulation of a paleontological excavation and hunt for a mysterious fossil. 

N.B. To comply with covid regulations in force at the moment of the activity, this workshop could be replaced with the workshops "Learn with Minerals" or "The young scientists".

At the end of the experience, walk around Ovada and dinner at leisure. We suggest tasting farinata, the local specialty made with water, oil and chickpea flour and baked in a wood-fired oven. 

Transfer by own means a few kilometres away for the overnight stay in a stagecoach. In a natural oasis you will sleep in a modern wood stagecoach equipped with every comfort. 

Day 2 

Following breakfast, transfer to the Special River Orba Nature Reserve, the only area authorised by Regione Piemonte to search for gold for amateur, scientific and educational purposes. 

You will enjoy an exciting experience that will turn children into modern gold diggers: after visiting the Gold Museum and the course for using the gold pan, everyone will go in search of gold... and whatever you find you take home! Small refreshment break included.
