Day 1

Arrival at an ancient 19th century residence transformed into a charming hotel that welcomes its guests with a fairy-tale charm. There is a magnificent terrace overlooking the hills of Monferrato and the Alps, with an outdoor swimming pool and a delightful garden that offers infinite shades of colours. The location has retained its original structural features with frescoed vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, terracotta floors, stone staircases and fireplaces that coexist in perfect harmony with contemporary design furnishings.

Guided tour of Lucedio a few minutes from the hotel. The Abbey of Lucedio was founded in 1123 by the Cistercian monks who reclaimed the land and were the first in Italy to cultivate rice in the early 15th century. Guided visit that include the Converse Hall, the Capital Hall, the Cloister, the Refectory and the Gallery. You will also visit the Farm of Lucedio and become acquainted with all the phases of the cultivation and production of rice.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a visit to the 18th century rice warehouse in Lomellina and the permanent exhibition dedicated to Ken Scott, great designer, American by birth but Italian by adoption. 

Lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon, visit to a fascinating historical wine cellar and its Infernot, an underground room hand carved into the stone,that contains the family’s private collection that counts about 700 bottles from all over Italy.

The winery is located within a location that can be defined as a small village widespread in an elegant and refined setting.

At the end of the visit, tasting of the winery’s wines.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by bike for an excursion along the River Po.

The cycle path consists of a main path that winds along the left bank of the River Po and by many secondary routes that allow you to reach places of great historical and naturalistic interest both in the plain and on the hill on the right bank, in an area rich in history, from the Rocca of Verrua Savoia up to the borders of the Lomellina.

In Casale Monferrato, the main cycle path leads to the right bank, where you can gradually discover the most natural and wild side of the Po. Along the way, there are panels for in-depth study and understanding of the landscape.

In the afternoon, relaxing massage at the hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the Safari Frog.

The experience begins with a short tour where guests will learn about the day-to-day operation of the rice farm: the rooms where the Mondine, women that used to work in the rice fields, used to stay, the old barn, visit to the horse and to the goats, the rice dryer and the Silos.

Aperitif, with tasting of local products.

Lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon, COCCOLE DI RISO massage. 

A dialogue between cream of milk and rice flour, elements that have rice as their base with its wonderful resources of beauty. Its properties were well known in ancient times and in Japan, and they have become a part of the geisha’s beauty rituals.
