Monfrà Jazz Fest for UNESCO's Birthday
Saturday 22nd June is UNESCO's birthday and there will be lots of music to celebrate it. Celebrations get underway at the Castle at 5.30 pm, with Fiabe in Jazz, an event for children from age 3 to 99. A real music story performed by My Favorite Trio formed by Stefano Monti (piano), Riccardo Marchese (drums), Leonardo Barbierato (bass). At 6 pm, the Castle Stage plays host to Erios New Talent Quartet for MonJF Young. At 6.30 pm, the duo, formed by Laura Tartuferi (voice) and Gege Piccolo (guitar), will play jazz during cocktail hour always at the Coco Cafè Bistrot. The main performance is at 9.30 pm at the Castle with a living Jazz legend: Cazzola e Bozza 4et with a quartet formed by Gianni Cazzola (drums), Michele Bozza (sax), Max Gallo (guitar), Giorgio Allara (double bass). Vini Isabella will accompany the event, presenting Baratuciat in honour of UNESCO. It is a new wine, which seemed to be in danger of extinction, a symbol of the cultural and vine heritage of Piedmont. The tasting session will be enriched by a literary performance (book in jazz) by Guido Michelone. To finish, the final jam session at the Coco Caffè.
